MONTH 4 · PRE-MARKET ENGAGEMENT (COMPLIANT PRE-SEEDING)

Feedback Session Script & Capture Form

Am I collecting real signal — objections, hesitations, "I'd need to see X first" — or just collecting applause?

Before every session

This is a feedback and demonstration session — not promotion or sale of an unapproved or uncleared product. Confirm scope and boundaries with your own regulatory/legal counsel before scheduling, and confirm the NDA is signed and on file before any technical detail is shared.

PART 1

Session Script

Read this before you run the session — don't hand it to the participant. The goal in the middle of the script is to stop pitching and start listening; that's where real signal shows up.

Opening
~2 min
Restate the Purpose from the signed NDA. Set the tone: this is not a sales call.
"Thanks for making time. We're not here to sell you anything today — we want your honest read on a problem we're trying to solve, and where we might be wrong."
Context-setting
~3-5 min
Describe the problem as you understand it — before showing anything. Let them correct you.
"Before I show you anything — walk me through how you handle this today."
Demo / Walkthrough
~10-15 min
Show, don't narrate over confusion. If they hesitate or squint at something, note it — don't explain it away in the moment.
Structured Probing
~10 min
This is the part that actually generates usable data. Ask, then stay quiet.
"What would have to be true for you to actually use this?"
"What's the first objection your boss or committee would raise?"
"Is there anything here you'd need to see proven before you'd trust it?"
"What would make you say no?"
Price / Value Check
~3-5 min, if appropriate
"If this existed today, what would you expect to pay, and why?"
Closing
~2-3 min
Ask permission to follow up, ask for a referral, confirm the next concrete step.
"Who else should see this?"
PART 2

Capture Form

Fill this out immediately after the session, while it's fresh — not from memory the next day.

What did they say when asked how they handle this today?
Their status quo, in their words.
Objections and hesitations raised
The uncomfortable part. If this is blank, you probably collected applause, not signal.
"I'd need to see X first" — specific proof they asked for
Name the exact evidence, data, or reference they said they'd need.
Positive signal — specific, not generic enthusiasm
"This would save us 20 minutes a case" counts. "This is cool" doesn't.
Verbatim quotes worth keeping
Exact words — useful for messaging and for the board deck.
Price / value reaction (if discussed)
Next action & owner
What happens next, and who's doing it.
